Javelin Communications owner Jim Gribble has worked in journalism, health care, direct marketing, business-to-business advertising and higher education. He has been a director of marketing, a director of public relations and a director of communications and creative services for Milwaukee Area Technical College.![]()
Before that he was a senior account supervisor for Nelson Schmidt, handling both marketing and public relations for the agency’s biggest client. In the late ’90s he served as senior public relations specialist/senior medical writer at Children’s Hospital of Wisconsin, supporting all branches of advocacy. From 1981 to 1991 he reported on metro news for The Milwaukee Journal, covering many of the decade’s major local stories.![]()
Gribble holds bachelors and master’s degrees in Journalism and Mass Communications from the University of Wisconsin-Madison and has won writing awards during each phase of his career, including the Gold Quill Award from the International Association of Business Communicators. The former executive is now a hands-on practitioner and an evangelist for silo-free Integrated Advocacy.![]()
