Marketing communications is a land of silos. You know the labels – public relations, media relations, corporate communications, strategic communications, community relations, reputation management, advancement, development, sales, marketing, branding . . .

In fact, all are closely related branches of a single tree called Integrated Advocacy. Integrated Advocacy tears down the silos and does not permit one branch to be favored over another just because it’s bigger – just because the provider has more invested in it.

One consideration alone guides tool selection: What is the client’s problem, and what exactly is the best way to fix it? We think we have some strengths in-house, but will never lean on them just because they are close at hand. Instead, we will acknowledge a weakness and then go hire the strengths that you really need.

Here's the thing about silos. They exist for one reason: to protect the occupants. At Javelin, we have stripped away anything that doesn't protect the best interests of you the client. Life out here in the open sure ain't as cozy. But it's a ton more exciting.
